Dr. Kent is a clinical assistant professor and coordinator of the pediatric Nurse Practitioner track in the MSN program. She is also serving as the interim Assistant Dean of Graduate Programs. As Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, she has practiced in school-based clinics and private primary care pediatric practice for over 24 years. She is board-certified by the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board and is a Fellow of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners. Her area of scholarship is evidence-based practice for topics such as children's oral health care, atopic dermatitis health literacy and interprofessional education. She has published articles and presented on these topics at the local, state, national and international levels. She was awarded Pediatric Nurse Practitioner of the Year Indiana Chapter of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners in 2017.
