Her research focuses on the impact of designed environments on human and organizational health with the goal of supporting healthcare facilities in embracing evidence-based design to improve end-users and resource outcomes. Hong also researches the integration of health and wellness mindsets of students in their learning environment and evaluates how the design of physical environments may improve student learning outcomes
