Expertise

My work focuses broadly on what is required to achieve and maintain healthy stream systems in a continually changing landscape. Primary research projects include the Indiana Fluvial Hazard Mitigation Program, a multi-agency program that’s goal is the reduction of the erosion hazard during flooding; and the School Branch National Water Quality Initiative, where researchers from multiple agencies are assessing methods to provide sustainable water resources in the Eastern Corn Belt, during a time of changing agricultural practices, changing land use, and changing climate.
