Expertise

My research interests are focused on the following projects:

  1. Studies of the role of serotonin system in development of heart and brain using systemic injections of selective compounds.
  2. Mechanism of action of serotonin receptors in physiological functions and behaviors using technology of antisense RNA and oligodesoxynucleotides.
  3. Multidisciplinary program investigating the role of activity dependent neurotrophic factors in neuroprotection against the insult of prenatal alcohol exposure in developing brain and in particular serotonin system.
  4. Investigating the effect of chronic and repeated deprivation of ethanol in dopamine and glutamate receptors using radioligand bindings.
