Expertise
Our laboratory has a strong interest in gene therapy. Using envelope proteins from the Nipah virus, we have created a new lentivirus pseudotype (Np-L) with enhanced specificity toward endothelial cells. It is anticipated Np-L will be used in vascular gene therapy applications in humans. In conjunction with the Vector Production Facility, we are also developing novel certification assays and process improvements for clinical lentiviral productions. A second focus of the laboratory is the protein A Disintegrin And Metalloprotease domain 15 (ADAM15).
