Dr. Hong uses a dynamical systems approach to study the control of human movement across three time-scales of change: 1) short-term adaptation; 2) learning, and 3) development and aging. He is also interested in the effects of disease and disorder on function control of human movement. These assessments are made primarily through the analysis of gait, posture, and muscle force control.
