Dr. Manchanda's research interests include:

  1. Setting up of Anticoagulation clinics: Deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism remain as important causes of morbidity and mortality in patients with or without cancer.
  2. Pharmacogenomic study of Warfarin therapy: Warfarin is a commonly used medication to prevent blood clots.
  3. Thrombotic Microangiopathies such as Thrombotic Thrombocytopenic Purpure (TTP) and atypical Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome (aHUS)remain enigmatic puzzles of the vascular system. Both timely recognition and treatment of these illnesses is of paramount importance.

Research:

  • Studies on protease-inhibitor interactions and their relevance to coagulation and cancer biology.

Clinical Interests:

  • Bleeding and clotting disorders, outpatient anticoagulation.
