Expertise

Our lab is focused on the synthesis and application of novel artificial nucleic acid molecules as the effective therapeutic agent and drug delivery tool. The current research interests include 1) synthesis of novel mirror-image nucleic acids for in vitro selection of functional RNA aptamer targeting cancer-related motifs; 2) construction of mirror-image RNA nanostructure as the efficient and stable gene therapy delivery device for cancer treatment.

The current research interests include 1) synthesis of novel mirror-image nucleic acids; 2) in vitro selection of functional mirror-image nucleic acid to target disease-related RNA motif; 3) construction of mirror-image RNA/DNA nanostructure for biostability and drug delivery efficiency improvement; 4) design and synthesis of novel modified DNA as antisense therapy candidate.

Research:

  • Synthesis of novel modified L-RNA for SELEX of therapeutic aptamers
  • Mechanistic studies on RNA self-replication in origin of life
  • Synthetic RNA nanostructures for high-throughput cryo-EM study and development of novel drug delivery tool
  • Structural and functional study on tRNA fragment-YBX1 complex for anti-cancer drug design
