Dr. Cai’s research interest is focusing on utilizing murine models for understanding mechanisms of human diseases progression. His recent research indicates that an anti-apoptosis long non-coding RNA Morrbid plays an essential role in myeloid leukemia including the onset of an early event of such blood cancer: clonal hematopoiesis. The findings from his basic research will be ultimately translated to clinical and benefit for human disease treatment.
