His research interests are in igneous and metamorphic petrology in the Southern Appalachians; he has previously researched the geochronology and geochemistry of igneous and metamorphic rocks (mafic and ultramafic variety) in the Blue Ridge Mountains of NC, GA, and AL. Additionally, he has interests in technical writing and online learning and training.
