My work combines humanistic and social scientific methods to examine the cultural and political dimensions of climate change, with a focus on literature and climate justice.

I am currently conducting empirical research on the influence of environmental literature on readers, collaborating with students on a systematic analysis of the presence (or absence) of climate change and other environmental issues in the most popular films of the last decade, co-authoring an ecotopian children's book, and writing a book on Americans who are factoring climate change into their reproductive plans and choices.
