Dr. Roue' research explores how reader engagement with children' and young adult literature influences innovative thinking, critical consciousness, and social justice education. Current projects include 1) utilizing diverse speculative fiction literature circles to foster social justice education and 2) developing preservice teacher global competency through reading international children' literature.
