Dr. Sisson’s research program focuses on the intersection between public relations, authenticity, relationship management, and social media. Within these parameters, her research specifically examines the role of authenticity on relationship management outcomes such as control mutuality in organizations’ social media efforts in the corporate and nonprofit sectors. Dr. Sisson’s research aims to help public relations practitioners ethically enhance organization-public relationships in social media.
