There he practiced and taught in the areas of adult internal medicine and gastroenterology, and served as Coordinator of Experiential Education.

He has published and presented extensively on the pharmacotherapy of dyslipidemia and gastrointestinal diseases, and also maintains a scholarly interest in the areas of educational reform in pharmacy and health care policy.

Dr. Jungnickel's research and scholarly interests are focused on pharmacotherapy of gastrointestinal and liver diseases, as well as the study of issues related to pharmacy education, including student affairs issues and substance abuse/chemical dependency in health professionals and health professions students. He also maintains a scholarly interest in various aspects of health care policy.
