Dr. Arcediano's research is focused in understanding the role of spatiotemporal contiguity, and temporal order in learning, and the mechanisms underlying temporal and spatial integration of acquired behaviors. In the long term, he is interested in the implementation of computational tools that would allow for the building and testing of the primitives of cognition, and the study of the conditions necessary for the development of higher-order cognition from the use of these primitives and their interactions.
