His research lines in the interactions of IT, user behavior, and business management. He is particularly interested in the effect of online and offline information on user behaviors and managerial decisions. Dr. Wang's research focuses on two streams: 1: business analytics, social media, digital marketing, and Economics of Information Systems (IS), and 2: strategic IT management and information security management. In his first stream of research, he studies the impact of social media in various settings such as the automobile, fashion, and sport industries. In his second stream of research, he explores the organizational and institutional approach to information security management and how firms could strategically manage their IT resources to enhance competitive advantages.
