Expertise

My career has been dedicated to designing, implementing and evaluating nutrition education with low-income audiences. My work has focused on creative methods for evaluating hard-to-reach audiences, developing teaching tools that continue to provide education over time, creating paths for healthy food access, creating effective community-based obesity prevention initiatives and integrating technology into nutrition education.

Specialty Areas: Youth and adult nutrition education and evaluation, with emphasis on limited-resource audiences. Education strategies include direct education and policy, systems and environmental change to improve food access and appeal. Creative evaluation methodologies designed and implemented to assess nutrition and dietary behavior changes.
