Dr. Munsterman’s research emphasis is advanced monitoring in critically ill horses. She has written the seminal papers in equine abdominal hypertension and abdominal compartment syndrome, and has presented her research at conferences on the international level. She is also currently investigating novel methods for tendon laceration repair in the horse, suture patterns for closure of the linea alba, and novel equine laparoscopic techniques.
