Expertise

My research draws upon two areas that occasionally overlap. My first area of interest involves factors that contribute to the development and maintenance of disordered eating. Much of my current work in this area examines family climates of individuals who struggle with disordered eating across the spectrum from chronic dieting to diagnosable eating disorders. My second area of research focuses on human sexuality. Many of the current projects in this domain focus on issues of concern to young adults such as perceptions of normative sexual behavior, consent, and relationships.
