His scholarship and outreach activities focus on enhancing diversity, equity, and inclusive excellence in higher education, improving graduate student socialization, and developing programs that seek to improve the overall wellness of traditionally under-served populations.

His research initiated with physical education diversity and has expanded to diversity in other areas.
