Dr. Strom teaches courses in the Educational Psychology program on topics such as learning theory, child and adolescent development, learning in the social context, and later life learning.
In the field of teacher preparation and working with public schools in Alabama, Dr. Strom’s research studies and publications focus on parent-teacher communication reforms to reduce student discipline problems and improve safety in high schools, assessment of secondary school student teamwork skills working in peer learning groups, and evaluation through polling of secondary school students to improve learning conditions in the classroom.
