Professor Byrd's research focuses on the impact of information technology at all levels of organizations, that is, at the individual, group, organizational, inter-organizational, and societal levels. More specifically, he studies how information technology acts in facilitating a variety of organizational and societal behaviors and initiatives involved with the planning, management, usage, diffusion, and infusion of the technology. Dr. Byrd teaches electronic commerce, programming, and IT strategy to undergraduate and graduate students. He also teaches seminars in IT research for doctoral candidates.
