Expertise

Research and Teaching Interests: Host/microbe interaction; Antigen presenting cell biology, development, and function; Dynamics of dendritic cell gene expression during maturation; Bacterial biofilm impact on food borne infection; Immunology, Microbiology.

The dendritic cell development project focuses on the progression of the stem and progenitor cells found in bone marrow into inflammatory dendritic cells along the myeloid developmental pathway

Our long term interest in host-microbe interactions has led us in new directions and into new research models.
