Expertise

Laura Matthews works on philosophy of mind and philosophy of psychiatry. She is especially interested in the mind-body problem, mental causation, and the ontology of mental illness. She explores these and other issues through the lens of the enactive approach to cognition, which attempts to integrate first and third person perspectives on the mind.
