Expertise

Kim completed her undergraduate degree at Emory University before joining the Emory University Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine as a research scientist. She completed a Master’s Degree in Information Sciences with a focus in Health Science Librarianship in 2010 from the University of North Texas. She joined Emory Libraries in 2011, later taking on the role of Research Impact Informationist in 2016. In that position, she developed library services around publication analytics, scholarly communications, and research impact metrics. She is an author and collaborator on several papers on citation tracking strategies, defining researcher impact, and the library’s involvement in supporting research quality and publication integrity.
In 2024, Kim joined the Innovation and Research Support Department at the Auburn University's Ralph Brown Draughon Library. In addition to serving as the primary liaison to the Auburn College of Nursing, she will work on expanding research support services for evidence synthesis, research impact, and scholarly communications.
