Brian Mcloone works on topics within philosophy of biology and general philosophy of science, primarily idealization, counterfactual reasoning, confirmation, and evolutionary theory.

Most of my research concerns evolutionary theory, scientific modeling, confirmation, counterfactual reasoning, health span dynamics, as well as the places where some of these topics overlap.
