Dr. Kaltenboeck’s research has been inspired by his experience with herd diseases in large animal practice. The overarching goal is an understanding of the role of intracellular bacteria of the genus Chlamydia in herd diseases of production animals, in particular dairy cows and calves, and mitigating the impact of these bacteria that can be found in every single dairy herd.
