My overall research interests are focused on both development and effects of abiotic stress on plants, with a specifically interest in how the plant hormone cytokinin is involved in these processes.
My teaching interests parallel my research interests and are focused on plant biology, development, and plant hormones.
Research in the lab is centered on the theme of gaining a greater understanding of plant the plant hormone cytokinin and its role in development.
Our specific focus on how to do that is centered on the study of a set of transcription factors known as CRFs or Cytokinin Response Factors.
My interests are in plant growth and development and the hormone cytokinin. Specifically I am focused on understanding the function of CRFs from a perspective of their role with cytokinin, development, and recently abiotic stress. My examination of all things CRF in Arabidopsis, tomato and other species has lead to findings that involve this group and a range of processes that span development, cytokinin, and abiotic stress responses.
