Research in my lab is aimed at understanding the evolution of animal immunity from two perspectives.

This interdisciplinary research program draws on immunology, systems biology, gene regulatory network biology, evolutionary biology, and computational genomics.

Current Research:

  • Regulating the immune response
  • Educating the immune system
  • Recognizing microbial life

Subject areas:

  • Host-Microbial Interactions Core
  • Evolutionary Genetics & Systematics Core.
