Research Areas

  • Fluid Dynamics, Biological Fluid Flow Applications, Numerical Methods and Scientific Computing

Keywords: Fluid dynamics, mathematical biology, applied mathematics

Current Projects: Mathematical modeling of physical phenomena, Physiological fluid mechanics, Hydrodynamic stability problems, Scientific computing with emphasis on solution of PDE related to fluid dynamics and transport phenomena.

My research interests are in applied mathematics, fluid dynamics and scientific computing. I am particularly interested in developing theoretical models to simulate and analyze nonlinear physical phenomena primarily with applications in the biomedical sciences.

Research interests:

  • Capillary elastic instabilities with applications to airway closure.
  • Thin film instabilities and pattern formation.
  • Surfactant spreading in thin liquid layers.
  • Airway reopening mechanics.
  • Evolution of gas bubbles in the circulation with application to the bends.
  • Motion of red blood cells in the microcirculation.
  • Gas dispersion.

Subject areas: Applied & Computational Math.

Research Interests: applied stochastic process, fluid dynamics.
