Expertise

William Potter, Professor in Foundation Studies, received his M.F.A. degree in Painting from the University of Cincinnati’s school of Design, Art, Architecture and Planning (DAAP) and his B.F.A. in Painting and Sculpture from the Columbus College of Art and Design. He began his academic appointment at Herron in 2001. He was director of the Foundation Studies Program from 2001–2011. He was vice president of Foundation in Art Theory Education Biennial Conference, which the Herron School of Art and Design hosted in 2015. He currently teaches in Foundation Studies, Painting and Drawing Programs.
