My group's current research interests focus on phase transitions in a variety of condensed matter systems. Of primary interest are soft materials, including colloids and nanoparticles, polymers and polyelectrolytes, and biomaterials. By developing and applying statistical mechanical and computer simulation methods to model effective interactions between macromolecules, we predict structure and thermodynamic phase behavior of a variety of soft materials.
