Expertise

Kelly Freeman has a strong interest in preventing, halting, and reversing chronic diseases. A former lieutenant in the United States Navy, she worked as a medical/surgical nurse, charge nurse, and case manager while on active duty. She is an advanced practice nurse with prescriptive authority. Kelly is board certified as an adult and geriatric primary care nurse practitioner as well as in lifestyle medicine. Kelly serves as the chair of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine's RN/APRN Member Interest Group and is on the Board of Directors.  She currently teaches undergraduate Health Assessment and graduate Pharmacology.  She has previously taught Nursing Intensive, Interactive Processes, and Data Analysis.
