Dr. Williams primary research interest is the biological, psychological, and social contextual factors influencing contraceptive use among adolescents.

She has specific interest and expertise in pediatric and adolescent gynecology (non-surgical) including: menstrual disorders, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), contraception, long-acting reversible contraceptives (LARC, intrauterine devices and implants), and reproductive health services for adolescents with chronic illness.
