Expertise
Walker is a lecturer at Indiana University Fort Wayne as well as the executive director of the Lafayette Street Family Health Clinic. After receiving her BSN from the University of Indianapolis in 2007, she began working at IU Health in critical care. In addition to patient care, she also assisted with quality improvement and unit operations as a shift coordinator. In 2012, she received her MSN as a women’s health nurse practitioner from the University of Indianapolis. Since then, she has worked as a nurse practitioner in both private and public health settings. She taught in an ASN program for three and a half years before coming to IU Fort Wayne.
Areas of interest include: Women’s Health, Community/Public Health Nursing, Nursing Leadership, Nursing Research and Evidence-Based Practice, Bioethics, Nursing Skills Lab, and Nursing Simulation.
