Expertise

In brief, my interests are really three-fold. I've always been interested in individuals' behavioral motivations in a broader social context. In other words why do people do the things they do? This is in part due to my background in Psychology. As a Communication Studies scholar my area of focus is on interpersonal communication, in particular; day to day minutiae, ones' background and experiences with other, shaping factors such as major achievements & loss/disappointment; generally speaking I'm interested in people's relational lives. Last but certainly not least, I'm passionately invested and interested in the psychological and communicative well-being of LGBTQ community. As a member of the community and advocate I'm quite interested in issues related to minority statues in our culture including not just sexual minorities but racial minorities as well.
