Expertise

We are interested in specific molecular responses to hypoxia and their relevance for cancer biology.

Research:

  • To understand the roles of hypoxia-regulated noncoding RNAs, in particular miR-210, miR210HG and miR193BHG and their role in metabolic cell adaptation to oxygen deprivation.
  • Therapeutic targeting of brain cancer metabolism using combinations of specific metabolic inhibitors and antianiogenic agents. The overall goal is to better understand an exploit the vulnerabilities generated by the tumor microenvironment.
