Expertise

Patients with advanced breast or prostate cancers often develop skeletal metastases leading to significant morbidity and mortality. My research interests include the contribution of the tumor microenvironment in colonization and growth of breast and prostate cancers that are metastatic to bone and the role of bone-muscle crosstalk in skeletal muscle oxidative stress and weakness. I am also interested in the development of pre-clinical drugs that target the bone microenvironment to treat musculoskeletal complications.
