My current research interest is in the mechanisms that are implicated in PTH mediated bone formation and resorption. Of the many different pathways, my focus is on wnt/b-catenin signaling and PI3K/PTEN/Akt signaling and their effects on bone building capacities of PTH. I am also interested in the catabolic properties of PTH treatment, and how those mechanisms differ from the anabolic effects of the same hormone.
