McCord earned his MSN at Ball State where he studied to become a family nurse practitioner. He has worked as a certified FNP since 2011, primarily in geriatrics, adult care, and nephrology. Prior to that he worked as an RN for seven years. McCord has taught primarily medical-surgical nursing, critical care, and health assessment to undergraduate students. My research area of interest is recruitment of men, and especially minority men, to nursing.
