Expertise
Professor McAllister earned her Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing at Ball State University in 2011, and later received her Masters of Science Degree in Nursing Education from Ball State University in 2016.  She worked as a Registered Nurse for 7 years at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, Indiana.  She began her career providing care to patients on a medical/surgical unit specializing in diabetes from 2012 – 2016.  She then served as a Clinical Operations Manager of a 44-bed unit on a medical/surgical unit specializing in cardiac patients from 2016 – 2018.  During her time in Muncie, Professor McAllister also taught as an adjunct faculty at a local community college.  After her career at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital, she accepted a role as an RN Physician Extender with Parkview Physician’s Group at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana.  In July of 2019 she joined IU School of Nursing Fort Wayne where she teaches Health Assessment, Biophysical Processes, and Community Health Nursing.
