Expertise

I have wide-ranging interests in philosophy, including (but not limited to): Epistemology, Normativity, Ethics, Metaethics, History of Philosophy (esp. 20th Century Analytic, Kant, and Existentialism), Philosophy of Mind, and Philosophy and Psychoanalysis (esp. Self-Knowledge). My dissertation is concerned with epistemic normativity. I argue that our acceptance of epistemic norms is rooted in the interpersonal aspects of our epistemic lives. Specifically, I argue that such norms are binding on us given our participation in a practice where we hold other people epistemically accountable.

Research interests:

  • epistemology; normativity (theoretical and practical)
